Dear CAI member, I am carrying out a major study on field sports in Ireland in the Department of Geography at the National University of Ireland, Galway. The study will examine ten different field sports in order to assess their significance to the Irish economy and their relevance in terms of habitat conservation. The project is supervised by Dr. Kieran Hickey who may be contacted with any queries you may have. The research will provide valuable information which will increase general knowledge about the important role of field sports in rural Ireland today. I enclose a questionnaire designed to examine the economic importance of game shooting and habitat conservation. Countryside Alliance Ireland is very supportive of the project. I would be most grateful if you could assist my research by returning the completed questionnaire and would like to thank you in advance for your help with this survey. Please note that all information will be treated in the strictest of confidence.
The questionaire can be downloaded by clicking here
