Retriever and Spaniel Field Trials at CAI Game & Country Fair The retriever trial will consist of Preliminary, Novice and Advanced and will be held on Sunday 31st July 2005. Countryside Alliance Ireland is placing special emphasis on the children's entertainment area making this a complete family day out. A full interactive programme will enable the children to enhance their coountry sports skills or obtain new ones. Activities such as fly casting, archery, shooting, dog handling skills and pony rides will be among the main attractions. Support our 2005/2006 Shooting Campaign Help support the work of CAI on shooting issues. Our 2005/2006 shooting campaign aims to Promote and Protect all shooting sports and by forging relationships with other shooting organisations, presenting a unified position within field sports. Win a Day's rough Shooting for 4 Guns Following on from last year's highly successful event, the Marquis and Marchioness of Waterford have once again generously donated the use of their magnificent estate at Curraghmore, Portlaw, Co Waterford for the second Countryside Alliance ireland annual clay pigeon shoot which will be held on Sunday 22nd May 2005. Teams of 4 guns are invited to enter this prestigious event. This year there will be two 40 bird team flushes set up and in addition there will be three sporting traps. Entry for this event is only €100 per team of 4 guns and is open to all shooting enthusiasts. Participants can enter as many times as they wish on the day. Winners of the team flush will enjoy a day's rough shooting on one of ireland's well known driven pheasant shoots at Lough Cutra Estate, co Galway. This prize has been generously sponsored by Donald Walshe of Dromland Sports. The CAI Shoot will commence at 09:30 on Sunday 22nd May 2005. There will be a light lunch provided for all participants.
