CA AwardsThe Countryside Alliance’s Best Rural Retailer competition is getting personal in 2008, with the addition of a new “Rural Hero” category.  The competition, now called the Countryside Alliance Awards, opens to nominations on Monday 1st September.

International Hunting Community Signs Historic Charter
Signatories of the Hunting Charter
Representatives from the international hunting community met for a conference in the Republic of Ireland in mid-August and signed the historic Charter of the International Union of Hunting with Hounds which includes the declaration that “This Union…..actively opposes those who seek to attack the interests of hunting with hounds.” Download the Charter here

Casting for Recovery - the movie
Image Casting for Recovery UK & Ireland is proud to present its first ever promotional film, produced by Pretty Clever pictures. Nothing can explain CfR's ethos to you better than the lady participants themselves. The seven-minute film was produced at Duncton Mill, Sussex, in July 2008, when several past participants of the breast cancer fly fishing programme funded by the Countryside Alliance had a reunion. The next retreat will be held at Brookhall Trout Fishery near Lisburn Co Down in September 2008. Ladies from all over Ireland will be attending the retreat.
