WDAI to hold Carcass Handling Seminar Print E-mail

WDAIThe Wild Deer Association of Ireland (WDAI) is holding a Carcass Handling Seminar on Sunday November 13th 2011 at Limerick Street, Roscrea, Co Tipperary, starting at 2pm.  

The WDAI have hosted these seminars in conjunction with DAFF since 1999 and they have proven to be a must attend event for those with an interest in deer stalking. 

The seminar will include – Field Evisceration & Butchery – Preparation of Cape for Taxidermist – Demonstration by a DAFF Veterinarian on Carcass Examination & Disease Identification – Demonstration by a butcher on preparation of carcass for consumption – Advice and information on tick prevention for hunters.

A delicious venison BBQ and light refreshments will also be available.

 

The skill and knowledge of carcass handling is something that we all require, whether experienced or new to deer-stalking.
