The 'Variable Adjustment Shotgun Sight' (VASS) has been invented and designed by John O'Hanrahan of Nenagh, Co Tipperary and specifications have been filed for international patents.
The attachments are specifically designed for participants in the sports of 'game', 'wild fowl' or 'clay pigeon' shooting whose “master” or “dominant eye” is or has recently become mismatched. In other words, this product is for those who are right-handed with a left master eye or for those who are left-handed with a right master eye
Historically, the conventional solution to this problem was the manufacture and fitting of a “cross-over stock” to your shotgun by a specialised skilled craftsman. This solution is quite expensive; ugly in appearance; allows little margin for subsequent adjustment; and can devalue a nice shotgun in the event of a subsequent sale. In contrast the 'VASS' attachment costs a mere fraction of a “cross-eyed stock”. It can be fitted and removed by the owner in seconds requiring no specialised skills. It has a range of variable adjustments. It will not devalue your gun. And most importantly, it is manufactured from a modern durable light-weight material (used in the manufacture of aircraft and spacecraft) so that the balance of your shotgun is not adversely affected. The inventor reserves the right to change or improve the design of the product.
