MuntjacMarianne Freeman a student at the School of Biological Sciences , Medical and Biological Centre, Queen’s University Belfast is presently investigating the spatial distribution and density of Muntjac deer (Muntiacus reevesi) populations in Northern Ireland as one part of her PhD. 

She is trying to gather up as much information of its distribution as possible in order to ascertain what problems will lie ahead for the environment and the impact this invasive species will have on our countryside, its biodiversity and ecology.
