Red Squirrel - Species Action Plan Print E-mail

Countryside Alliance Ireland welcomes the publication of the Red Squirrel Species Action Plan(SAP). The purpose of this SAP is to outline the work to be done and strategies to be followed for the conservation of the Red Squirrel in Ireland.
Given the broad range of actions within this plan, they will inform the policy of all Government agencies not just those with particular responsibility for the preservation and management of wildlife.

 

The publication of this action plan is a clear indication of the commitment of the Irish Government and the Northern Ireland Assembly towards the conservation of biodiversity in the Island of Ireland.
