The Countryside Alliance’s Game-to-Eat website has been named 'Website of the Month' by the Meat Trades Journal. The Game to Eat dedicatedcampaign site, which aims to promote, celebrate and increase the public’s access to game, has recently had a facelift. The site is proving a hit with the public, who can find recipes, tips and information on where to buy game and it also contains a “trade area” so that shoots and game dealers can keep up to date with EU regulations, download promotional materials and learn first about trends within the industry.
The Game-to-Eat campaign hopes that the honour bestowed on the revamped website reflects the ever-growing enthusiasm across the country for game products. Awareness of the seasonal and local nature of game and the health benefits it brings make it much sought-after, especially now that the shooting season is underway and hearty food is on the menu.
We would encourage everyone, whether foodie or not, to have a look at the site for some inspiration this winter.” You can visit the game to eat website by typing the following address into your web browser http://www.gametoeat.co.uk/ . If you are a game dealer or butcher who sells game you can enter your details on the website by visiting the trade area. You can then add your details to the “Where to buy game” directory.
