The Newry and Mourne Branch of the Riding for the Disabled Association and Newry Hunt Club are holding a pleasure ride on Sunday 31st October 2010 between 11am and 3pm. This includes a go-as-you-please and a lead rein or riverside ride. The ride will take place in the truly picturesque surroundings of the Mourne Mountains, just outside Rostrevor. There are fences to suit all riding levels; from the novice combination to schooling future and present hunters or eventers, or just for an afternoon’s ride in beautiful scenery. The course has been very kindly provided by Liam Baxter, of Rostrevor Holidays, and offers plenty of variety.
The Riding for the Disabled Association has been supporting people with disabilities, both mental and physical, for nearly forty years. It provides individuals with the opportunity to reach new goals, improve their social skills and experience animals and the great outdoors. Riding can improve self-confidence beyond recognition and develop useful life skills. It is an extremely worthwhile charity. However, as with any charity, fundraising is essential; so please come along to the ride and support it. All proceeds from this ride go to the Newry and Mourne Branch of the Riding for the Disabled Association. The venue is at 125 Kilbroney Road, Rostrevor, County Down, BT34 3BW For further directions please visit www.rostrevorholidays.com or contact Michelle on 07841 839013 or Jenny on 07969 685863. |
