The morning session of the course, starting at 9.30am, is designed to introduce ACI coaches to the ACI Safety Policy and to provide them with the necessary information, training and skills to safely conduct Risk Assessments in the angling environment. The afternoon session includes practical application of risk assessments in the field. This will be followed by demonstration and instruction on defensive swimming techniques, personal floatation devices, safe wading techniques, safety considerations when organising angling events and river rescue techniques including practical exercises in victim recovery.
