Countryside Alliance Ireland - love the countryside

The Deer Alliance HCAP (Hunter Competence Assessment Programme) is designed to lead to safer, more efficient and more humane management of wild deer in Ireland.  This assessment tests the knowledge and proficiency of all those who wish to hunt deer on public or private land.   

HCAP has now completed five years of operation following four years of development starting in 2001.  To date, over one thousand candidates have been assessed and approximately 850 candidates have been certified.  

The dates for Deer Alliance HCAP Multiple Choice Question exams (MCQs) and Range Tests in 2011 have now been published.

The schedule of dates for Deer Alliance HCAP Multiple Choice Question exams (MCQs) and Range Tests in 2011 are as follows:  

MCQs 

Wednesday 2^nd March 2011 – Lynham’s Hotel, Laragh, Co. Wicklow at 8pm 

Saturday 16^th April 2011 – Cahir, Co. Tipperary at 3pm 

Sunday 26^th June 2011, - Connacht 

Saturday 6^th August 2011, - Portlaoise, Co. Laois  

RANGE TESTS 

Saturday 28^th May 2011 (Midland Rifle Range) 

Saturday 27^th August 2011 (Midland Rifle Range)
